Job Details
EchoTechnologists are responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment, preparing patients for the procedure, and obtaining high-quality images. They work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide patient care and interpret the results of the echocardiogram.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (M-Mode, 2D, Doppler, and stress echo)
- Analyze and calculate cardiac measurements (e.g., ejection fraction, valve gradients)
- Identify normal and abnormal cardiac structures and function
- Prepare and position patients; explain procedures clearly
- Ensure accurate patient identification and documentation
- Maintain equipment and exam room cleanliness
- Enter and transmit data into clinical systems
- Collaborate with physicians and assist with contrast administration as needed
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
- ARDMS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with direct patient care
- Strong computer skills and ability to lift/move patients and equipment as needed
