Role Overview

This role sits within the Regional HNW Insurance team, supporting the development, delivery, and optimisation of insurance solutions specifically Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The successful candidate will combine technical product knowledge with practical execution, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to strengthen our HNW insurance proposition.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Product & Technical Advisory
• Act as a key point of contact for insurance product matters across HNW, Life, GI, and corporate solutions (including premium financing structures)
• Provide practical guidance on product features, underwriting considerations, and policy structures to support front-line Wealth teams (TPC, PB, IBG)
• Translation of Technical Concepts
• Simplify complex product details into clear, actionable guidance (e.g., playbooks, product positioning, FAQs)
• Support front-line teams in addressing client queries and suitability considerations confidently
• Partnership & Product Development
• Work closely with insurance partners to review product offerings/design, pricing mechanics, underwriting rules, and enhancement opportunities
• Contribute to shaping a competitive and relevant HNW product suite for HNW and corporate clients
• Strategy & Initiatives Support
• Support the execution of insurance distribution and partnership strategies to ensure product propositions are technically sound, scalable and compliant
• Lead product-related assessment in new initiatives (e.g., digital tools, ecosystem partnerships, sales enablement platforms, wholesaling models)
• Project & Stakeholder Management
• Support key regional projects by coordinating workstreams, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely delivery
• Collaborate across teams including Product, Front Office, Technology, and Operations
• Market Insights & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor market trends and competitor developments to identify opportunities and gaps
• Highlight process or product improvement areas and support implementation initiatives
• Management Reporting
• Prepare clear and concise materials for internal stakeholders and senior management to support decision-making

 

 

Experience & Capabilities

 

• ~10+ years of relevant experience in HNW financial services
• Proven experience in insurance product management, technical advisory, or specialist roles within HNW, Private Banking, or bancassurance environments
• Ability to work hands-on with insurance products, underwriting, and sales processes, while operating at a strategic level
• Familiarity with medical and financial underwriting principles
• Strong knowledge of HNW insurance products and premium financing
• Solid understanding of HNW client needs and insurance sales processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes
• Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
