About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Develop 2D/3D electrical drawings and panel models.
- Generate and manage technical documentation including Bills of Materials (BOMs), cable schedules, and device lists.
- Ensure all designs comply with IEC, ATEX, NEC, and other applicable electrical standards and safety regulations.
- Perform basic electrical calculations (load calculations, voltage drop, current capacity, power consumption).
- Select and specify appropriate electrical components and materials.
- Review supplier drawings and verify technical accuracy before project release.
- Support engineers and project managers during design, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper version control of drawings and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (minimum 3-year technical program).
- Proven experience in electrical design and drafting (control panels and low-voltage systems preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks Electrical.
- Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and industry standards.
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
