You'll drive embedded electronics design — hardware and firmware — across the full product development lifecycle, from early concept through production. You won't be inheriting someone else's architecture. You'll define it.</p> <p>You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams globally (US, China, and beyond), work directly with contract manufacturers, and be the go-to technical authority on electrical and firmware decisions for your programs.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead embedded electronic design from concept to production — schematic capture, PCB layout, firmware (C/ASM), and everything in between</li> <li>Define product electrical and firmware architecture as the technical foundation for global teams and contract manufacturing partners</li> <li>Coordinate day-to-day engineering tasks to hit prototype milestones for internal reviews and research programs</li> <li>Partner with Engineering and Product Marketing to develop EBOM cost estimates and assess work effort for new initiatives</li> <li>Own compliance — work with the compliance team to ensure products meet global certification standards for consumer electronics</li> <li>Develop clear, thorough hardware and firmware specifications and documentation</li> <li>Lead EMI/EMC and compliance issue resolution through rigorous root cause analysis</li> <li>Report program status to global EE leadership and contribute to organizational goal-setting</li> <li>Mentor junior engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Bring</strong></p> <p><em>Required:</em></p> <ul> <li>BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>5+ years in embedded hardware and firmware design, with full product development cycles under your belt</li> <li>Proven ability to design electronics from scratch — not just adapt existing designs</li> <li>Experience in component selection, system architecture, design verification, and documentation</li> <li>Firmware development for microcontrollers: design, test, and debug</li> <li>Familiarity with DFM, DFT, and reliability principles</li> <li>EMI/EMC troubleshooting and compliance resolution experience</li> <li>Strong communicator — comfortable presenting technical decisions to cross-functional and global audiences</li> <li>Self-directed, with the ability to manage your own priorities in a fast-moving environment</li> </ul> <p><em>Nice to Have:</em></p> <ul> <li>Consumer product or consumer goods consulting experience</li> <li>Familiarity with compilers, IDEs, JIRA, and SVN</li> <li>Experience working within distributed, multi-site engineering teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why SharkNinja</strong></p> <p>We move fast.
