Working with the Melt Shop Electrical Maintenance team to ensure the effective maintenance and optimization of electrical systems, with a primary focus on safety and operational reliability.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the installation and optimization of both new installations and current equipment.
- Assist with Troubleshooting and repair of current systems.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards.
- Verify monitoring equipment.
- Assist in calibration.
- Support in crane troubleshooting and repairs.
- Work with Level 1 Engineer on HMIs/PLCs/Drives.
- Understand and follow safety protocols, including:
- Red Zone
- 20-foot Rule
- Cardinal Safety Rules
- Electrical Safety practices
- Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting and periodic maintenance on equipment.
- Identify, design, and implement changes/upgrades that will increase the process's productivity or reliability.
- Understand the steel-making process and integrate this knowledge with the knowledge of process control systems to improve safety, productivity, quality, and reliability.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven commitment to safety and attendance.
- Electrical maintenance experience.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Self-Motivated and initiative.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Positive and team-oriented attitude.
Preferred:
- Experience with overhead cranes
