Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to join our team in Helsinki. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems that support Thor Dynamics’ advanced directed energy technologies. This role is crucial to ensuring the performance and reliability of our counter-drone defense solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and maintain electronic systems and components for directed energy applications.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot electronic systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct functional and performance testing of electronic assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineers to support the design, development, and refinement of electronic systems.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of assembly processes, test results, and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of the 70-acre test and demonstration facility in Helsinki.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and systems.
  • Experience with RF systems, power supplies, and laser technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Finnish is an advantage.
