The Role:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Physical Education department, developing and implementing a comprehensive and innovative curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Inspire and Engage: Lead and inspire a team of dedicated PE teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Curriculum Development: Oversee the planning and delivery of a dynamic and enriching PE curriculum that encompasses a variety of sports, activities, and health-related topics.
  • Promote Excellence: Encourage and support students to participate in a wide range of sports and activities, fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition.
  • Manage Resources: Effectively manage the department's budget and resources, ensuring the provision of high-quality equipment and facilities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Teacher: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine passion for Physical Education.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrate successful leadership experience in a PE department or similar setting.
  • Subject Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of physical education pedagogy, coaching techniques, and health-related fitness.
  • Inspiring Leader: Be a highly motivated and inspiring leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Work effectively with colleagues, students, and parents to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
