Emergency Medicine Physician

Overview

Schedule: Sign-up schedule.  Looking for someone that can work nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift times run from 0600-1600, 0800-1800, 1000-2000, 1200-2200, 1600-0200 and 2000-0600.

Position Type: Personal Service Contract - Independent Contractor (1099)

Pay: $193/hr base,

Differential Pay: $198/hr for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Consult with consultants appropriately.
• Provide medical advice over the telephone.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries.
• Perform medical procedures.
• Obtain an adequate history, physical, assessment, and plan in a timely and appropriate manner on each patient and develop a treatment plan.
• Utilize paraprofessional staff as appropriate.
• Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest as appropriate and arrange appropriate backup from the Emergency Medical Service (EMS).
• Interpret electrocardiograms.
• Preliminary to interpret radiographs to include CAT scans Direct medical care through radio communication with an ambulance.

Qualifications

• The Emergency Room Physician shall have a from an accredited college.
• The Emergency Room Physician shall possess , or board eligible, in emergency medicine (American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine (ABOEM) only or have successfully completed an and applied for board certification in emergency medicine (ABEM or ABOEM only).
• Physicians shall be current in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Physicians shall possess board certification in a field other than emergency medicine.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience working in the ER.
• Possess and maintain a current unrestricted to practice as an Emergency Medicine Physician.
