Position Overview
The Endocrinologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. The position involves primarily outpatient care with opportunities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive treatment and patient education.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and hormonal imbalances
- Develop individualized treatment plans and manage long-term patient care
- Interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies related to endocrine conditions
- Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs

Requirements
General Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Completion of an accredited Endocrinology fellowship program
- Eligible for or able to obtain a Vermont medical license
- Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
