About the role

A healthcare organization in Rutland is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certifiable or Board Certified Endocrinologist to join a collaborative team dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Position Overview

The Endocrinologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. The position involves primarily outpatient care with opportunities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive treatment and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and hormonal imbalances
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and manage long-term patient care
  • Interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies related to endocrine conditions
  • Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
  • Completion of an accredited Endocrinology fellowship program
  • Eligible for or able to obtain a Vermont medical license
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment

  • Experience managing complex endocrine disorders
  • Interest in diabetes management and preventive care
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and community health initiatives
