About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Aurora’s suite of energy market models
- Work closely with our research and consulting teams to derive insights from model results
- Contribute to continuously improving how the modeling team operates
What We Look For
- Relevant degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or another quantitative field from a top university
- Enjoyment of working through complex problems and the ability to explain your thinking clearly
- Experience working with quantitative data through coursework, projects, or internships, including analysing data and drawing insights
- Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python or similar
- Clear and effective communication skills, and a great team player.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level)
- Written and spoken fluency in Portuguese (C2 level)
- Relevant Master’s degree or PhD
- Internship, research, or work experience in a quantitative or technical setting
- An interest in energy markets and how well-designed models can improve real-world decisions
- Knowledge of statistical and/or optimization techniques
