<p><span data-contrast="auto">As a <strong>Senior Engineer I, Mechanical Engineering </strong>at ASM, </span><span data-contrast="auto">you will play a pivotal role in </span><span data-contrast="auto">design and development of high</span>‑<span data-contrast="auto">precision ALD chamber and semiconductor equipment systems. In this role, you will apply solid mechanical engineering fundamentals to solve complex design challenges, support new product development, and ensure reliable transition from design to manufacturing. <p><span data-contrast="auto">What you will be working on</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Design and develop mechanical systems and components for semiconductor equipment, applying sound engineering principles, product specifications, and research data.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Perform engineering calculations related to structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics to support robust and reliable designs.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Create and maintain Creo Parametric 3D CAD models and detailed drawings, ranging from individual parts to complex assemblies.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Evaluate the feasibility of product proposals, resolve technical issues, and develop new designs in compliance with product safety and design standards.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Manage Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) and ensure clear communication across teams and with external partners.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Prepare complete and clear engineering documentation to support prototype builds, manufacturing, and testing of released products.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support engineering project activities, including report preparation, schedule planning, design reviews, and coordination with cross</span>‑<span data-contrast="auto">functional teams.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Establish product configurations and structures for new products and features in both development and manufacturing environments.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Participate in and present at design reviews for new designs, product enhancements, and customer</span>‑<span data-contrast="auto">specific solutions.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support hardware development, installation, and testing to verify performance; create, review, and approve test plans and test procedures.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Interface with manufacturing, suppliers, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth product transfer into the manufacturing cycle.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Review and process engineering change requests (ECR/ECO) and support continuous product and process improvements.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Travel to customer or supplier sites as needed to support technical discussions and project execution.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain a strong commitment to safety in all activities</span></li>

<p><span data-ccp-props="{}">What we are looking for</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related disciplines</span></li>
<li>Experience using multiple CAD programs </li>
<li>Quickly iterate through concepts until a final design is settled on </li>
<li>Generate robust drawings for the manufacturing of components using GD&T </li>
<li>Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for different materials
<ul>
<li>Machined components </li>
<li>Sheet metal </li>
<li>Weldments </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Ability to read and design schematics (specifically P&ID) </li>
<li>Desire to test one's own designs and understand where and how continuous improvement can occur </li>
<li>Knowledge of electrical/RF/plasma systems or genuine desire to learn </li>
<li>Experience working with and on Semiconductor tools in FAB environment </li>
</ul>
