We’re looking for a <strong>Total Product Support Engineer</strong> to join our <strong>ALD team in Phoenix</strong>, where you’ll play a critical role in launching new products and ensuring they succeed in real‑world fab environments.</p> <p>This role puts you at the center of <strong>new product development</strong>, acting as the <strong>system‑level expert</strong> who bridges engineering design, manufacturing readiness, and customer success. If you enjoy deep technical ownership, cross‑functional collaboration, and seeing your work directly impact customer fabs worldwide, this is a unique opportunity to make your mark.</p> <hr> <h3>What You’ll Be Working On</h3> <p>As a Total Product Support Engineer, you’ll own some of the most important phases of a product’s lifecycle—from first build to first customer success:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the <strong>system‑level expert</strong> for ALD product support during new product development</li> <li>Partner closely with <strong>Hardware, Electrical, Controls, Process, and Software</strong> engineering teams to develop deep system knowledge</li> <li>Influence product design by providing customer‑focused input on <strong>preventive maintenance, serviceability, and design for manufacturability</strong></li> <li>Own the <strong>first build and test</strong> of new products in the development lab, identifying issues early and recommending practical solutions in real time</li> <li>Develop and document <strong>best‑known methods</strong> and procedures for service, preventive, and corrective maintenance</li> <li>Lead <strong>First‑in‑Fab (Alpha and Beta) deployments</strong>, driving customer fab readiness, installation, start‑up, and production qualification</li> <li>Act as the primary owner for customer issues during Alpha and Beta phases, ensuring strong communication and rapid resolution</li> <li>Provide detailed reporting and feedback on field issues to strengthen product robustness and reliability</li> <li>Define <strong>critical spare parts strategies</strong>, ensuring readiness and smooth execution for new product shipments</li> </ul> <hr> <h3>What We’re Looking For</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline <strong>and/or</strong> 5+ years of hands‑on experience with <strong>semiconductor equipment</strong></li> <li><strong>Direct experience with ALD equipment (required)</strong></li> <li>Strong system‑level troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across disciplines</li> <li>Willingness to travel <strong>25–50%</strong>, depending on the product development cycle</li> <li>Comfort working in both lab and customer fab environments</li> </ul> <hr> <h3>Why ASM?</h3> <p>At ASM, you won’t just support products—you’ll <strong>help shape how they’re built, launched, and adopted worldwide</strong>.
