Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a key role in driving cost productivity and ensuring the financial health of our global Engineering function. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (**Engineering leaders, regional finance teams, and global stakeholders**), coordinate budgeting and reporting activities**, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of maintaining the cost of the global Engineering function (‘Métier’) in line with company objectives**, but also **improving self-servicing capabilities and online access to finance data for the Engineering team

We’ll look to you for:

• Coordinating budgeting and monthly reporting activities for the Engineering Function and maintaining associated scorecards

• Ensuring the cost of the global Engineering function aligns with company objectives

• Driving cost productivity using cost models and related tools

• Serving as the domain expert on subcontracting

• Acting as the primary finance partner to the Alstom Global Engineering Leader and their staff

• Contributing to Alstom’s Delivery Plan (twice a year) for Engineering

• Partnering with regions to ensure successful roll-out of company-wide Engineering Finance tools and adherence to related KPIs

• Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct

• Experience or understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management

• Knowledge of financial tools and cost productivity models

• Familiarity with global financial operations and KPIs

• A professional finance certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Bilingualism

Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
