Engineering Manager Android

As the android engineering manager, you will work closely with product/design/business teams to build the most user-friendly android applications.&nbsp;You would monitor and scale our teams, bring efficiency to the processes and implement the latest technologies to improve performance and reliability of our features.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Build, hire, and lead a high-calibre team of android engineers</li> <li>Be responsible for setting and maintaining performance, latency, and efficiency SLOs</li> <li>Coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development</li> <li>Set and support a culture of metrics driven quality, with efficient processes and strong transparency</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science with 8+ years of professional experience</li> <li>Worked on one or more Android apps published on play store</li> <li>Familiarity with Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and the ecosystem</li> <li>Familiarity with Material Design guidelines, common mobile UX patterns, and anti-patterns</li> <li>Experience with common Android libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, Arch components, etc.</li> <li>Experience with different programming paradigms, esp. functional and reactive programming, multi-threading</li> <li>Familiarity with git and continuous integration</li> <li>Understanding of different architectural patterns (esp.
