<p>Digital transformation within the public sector is at the heart of what GovTech does. We harness the best info communications technologies to make a difference to the everyday lives of people in Singapore ( about GovTech). As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for technical direction and engineering execution for one (or more) teams. You will drive the design, implementation, and delivery of product capabilities owned by your team, while building a healthy engineering system that ships reliably and improves over time. </p>
<p><span data-contrast="none">Your responsibilities will include:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Defining your teamʼs engineering vision, strategy, and directions that align with the organisationʼs overall vision<br>and goals.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Partnering with stakeholders and cross-functional counterparts (e.g., Product, Design, QA, Security) to prioritise<br>and manage roadmaps, delivering towards product vision incrementally and efficiently.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Creating and maintaining a long-term technical plan and roadmap for the team; updating it regularly to meet future<br>product/business needs and infrastructure requirements.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Staying close to technical details through architecture reviews, design discussions, and code/review practices,<br>bringing sound technical judgment to guide trade-offs.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Ensuring the team ships high-quality software predictably and sustainably; improving delivery flow, developer<br>experience DevX, and engineering effectiveness.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Building reliability and security into the teamʼs approach: observability, incident response, postmortems, and<br>preventative improvements.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Coaching and developing engineers through 11s, feedback, performance conversations, and career growth<br>planning.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Establishing practices and tools to encourage a strong engineering culture and maximise engineering<br>effectiveness and impact.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Helping with recruitment, particularly for more senior hires, and contributing to onboarding</span></li>
