<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>
<p>As an Engineering Manager, you will drive the successful delivery and execution of projects within your teams. You will manage end-to-end technical planning, ensuring that product requirements are translated into actionable tasks, while orchestrating collaboration between various stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, QA, and UX. This role requires a deep understanding of software design and development and the ability to plan, execute, and deliver product features in a timely and predictable manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining high technical standards, managing team bandwidth, and ensuring project milestones are met with efficiency and accuracy.</p>
<p><strong>What you’ll get to do</strong></p>

<li data-start="22" data-end="165">Own end-to-end delivery and execution across cross-functional teams within your product area, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes.</li>
<li data-start="168" data-end="340">Evaluate business and product requirements for technical feasibility and architectural alignment, translating them into well-defined EPICs and technical user stories.</li>
<li data-start="343" data-end="470">Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to continuously refine, groom, and prioritize the backlog.</li>
<li data-start="473" data-end="640">Plan and drive sprint execution with clearly defined goals, using project planning tools to establish timelines, delivery milestones, and surface dependencies early.</li>
<li data-start="643" data-end="758">Champion engineering processes and rituals that enable strong collaboration, accountability, and team efficiency.</li>
<li data-start="761" data-end="892">Monitor team velocity and capacity to optimize resource allocation, proactively balancing bandwidth against delivery commitments.</li>
<li data-start="895" data-end="1010">Coordinate cross-team dependencies and stakeholder alignment to remove bottlenecks and maintain smooth execution.</li>
<li data-start="1013" data-end="1186">Stay hands-on in critical initiatives by guiding design decisions, enforcing sound design patterns, and participating in code reviews to maintain high engineering quality.</li>
<li data-start="1189" data-end="1316">Ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and observability for all owned services, consistently meeting defined SLIs and SLOs.</li>
<li data-start="1319" data-end="1459">Partner with Product Managers to define, track, and publish post-release product metrics, driving transparency and continuous improvement.</li>

<p><strong>To succeed in this role, you should have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li data-start="30" data-end="141">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.</li>
<li data-start="30" data-end="141">8-10 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or in a similar hands-on technical role.</li>
<li data-start="144" data-end="235">5+ years of strong experience building production systems using Java and Spring Boot.</li>
<li data-start="238" data-end="331">Minimum 3 years of proven engineering leadership experience managing high-performing teams.</li>
<li data-start="334" data-end="444">Solid grasp of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.</li>
<li data-start="447" data-end="568">Demonstrated ability to translate complex product requirements into well-structured EPICs, user stories, and tasks.</li>
<li data-start="571" data-end="655">Strong backend engineering expertise; exposure to frontend technologies is a plus.</li>
<li data-start="658" data-end="755">Experience with project planning and tracking tools to visualize and manage delivery timelines.</li>
<li data-start="758" data-end="874">Familiarity with engineering, product health metrics, and monitoring tools to drive data-informed decisions.</li>
<li data-start="877" data-end="989">Hands-on capability to debug complex production issues, lead incident response, and conduct blameless RCA.</li>
<li data-start="992" data-end="1119">Good understanding of modern deployment practices, including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and associated metrics.</li>
<li data-start="1122" data-end="1222">Ability to drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.</li>
<li data-start="1225" data-end="1312">Excellent risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication skills.</li>
<li data-start="1315" data-end="1417">Proven track record of improving team velocity, delivery predictability, and engineering excellence.</li>
