What you would build

  • Agent-native architecture. API contracts, semantic naming, and module boundaries are clear enough that an AI agent can find the right code and change it without a human pointing the way. The patterns hold as the system grows.
  • A context layer in the repo. Versioned guidance that Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex load on their own, so every engineer gets better AI output without configuring it themselves.
  • Incident agents. They triage the alert, pull the logs, surface the last few times this broke, and propose a fix. The on-call engineer decides.
  • Agents that finish a task, not just answer a question. A ticket goes in, a pull request comes out, a human approves before it merges. In product features, not internal demos.
  • AI code review that catches the real issues. Correctness, security, and maintainability flagged before a human opens the PR, with the false positives filtered out so reviewers trust it.

What you will do

  • Drive product strategy and outcomes across multiple teams, ensuring tight alignment with Product and Design leadership.
  • Drive high-impact cross-functional initiatives from first principles, making decisive calls based on evolving evidence.
  • Challenge and refine top-level problem statements through data-driven counter-proposals in direct dialogue with the CTO.
  • Provide expert architectural oversight, surfacing critical tradeoffs and raising the bar in senior-level design reviews.
  • Operationalize an AI-first culture by implementing agent-operable runbooks, incident response, and onboarding workflows.
  • Balance long-term domain health with short-term initiative velocity through strategic resource management.
  • Cultivate the next generation of leadership by actively coaching and developing future EMs and Tech Lead Managers.
  • Scale the organization through deliberate hiring, maintaining a high talent bar and efficient recruitment loops.
  • Make the success of your area visible and create a sense of pride for the achievements done.

About you

  • 4+ years in team management, with a track record of growing both individuals and the team as a whole — including developing future managers or TLMs.
  • A strong technical background. You independently evaluate architecture across teams, are trusted as a peer in design reviews, and can explain how your domain is built, performs, and scales without scheduling a meeting.
  • A proven track record of driving initiatives across a broader surface than a single team — you've set first-principles direction, made hard scope and kill calls, and owned the outcome.
  • You don't just raise problems — you refine them. You bring counter-proposals with evidence, push back when the framing is wrong, and update your position when the data changes.
  • You value direct feedback, both given and received. We embrace the approach of Radical Candor. Always with good intent, always constructive.
  • Great communication is expected. Fluency in English—our team consists of 14+ nationalities in different Geos.
  • An experience building complex B2B SaaS admin experiences is a plus.
  • Embrace AI as a daily tool in your own workflow. You use AI coding assistants, iterate on prompts, and constantly look for ways to move faster — and you build the agent-first conditions that make your whole area compound.
