You’ll also partner closely with product&nbsp;managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements, ensure smooth project execution, and encourage a high performing collaborative team environment.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead a squad of engineers, fostering collaboration and supporting their professional growth.</li> <li>Work closely with product and design teams to define requirements and technical direction and translate those into work</li> <li>Provide mentorship to engineers across a variety of backgrounds and experiences</li> <li>Set clear performance expectations and provide direct, timely and actionable feedback</li> <li>Promote engineering best practices within your squad and across the entire engineering team</li> <li>See around the corner to anticipate technical and resourcing challenges</li> <li>Ensuring collaboration in a remote / hybrid work environment across cross-functional teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience delivering high quality software products as a software engineer</li> <li>5+ years of experience managing software engineers</li> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field</li> <li>A strong technical background, including: Experience building web applications using common frameworks (Ruby on Rails is preferred but not required).
