About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced English teacher to join our dynamic department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to foster a love of literature, develop students' literacy skills, and prepare them for success in GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons.
- Develop students' literacy skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Prepare students for success in GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and innovative learning environment.
- Contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities, such as drama and debating.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
