About the role
The Headteacher of this highly successful and oversubscribed academy is looking to appoint a new English Teacher to join their English department. English is an extremely popular and thriving subject in the academy with excellent outcomes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an English teacher looking to progress in a highly skilled supportive environment. This role would suit an aspirational English teacher looking for a role in middle leadership and/or is the perfect role for a candidate might be looking to develop further.

The successful English Teacher will be both ambitious and committed to the teaching of English. They will bring enthusiasm, dedication and ideas to the department and a desire to promote success, whilst instilling in their students a passion for the subject.

The academy is an 11-18 Mixed Comprehensive serving English and the surrounding community. It is highly regarded in the local area and recognised as a friendly and welcoming academy with high academic standards. The academy has a very positive learning culture, and their Ofsted report (2020) graded the academy as Ofsted rated ‘Good’.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in English or similar
- QTS or PGCE
Salary
The salary for this English Teacher position will be paid to scale MPS/UPS.
