Build the architecture function from the ground up and shape the technology landscape behind the future of sustainable aviation fuel production.

About the role

As SkyNRG scales sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production, we are looking for our first Enterprise Architect.

This is a rare opportunity to build the architecture function from the ground up. You will define the target-state architecture across business capabilities, applications, data, integration, cybersecurity, and Operational Technology (OT), creating the standards and governance that will support SkyNRG's growth for years to come.

Working across IT, engineering, operations, and leadership, you will ensure technology decisions are aligned, secure, and scalable. From production facilities and plant data flows to enterprise applications and cloud platforms, you will help shape the technology landscape that underpins our business.

As regulatory requirements such as NIS2 continue to evolve and new production capacity comes online, you will play a key role in ensuring architecture, cybersecurity, and compliance are embedded into our technology landscape from the start.

Your responsibilities will focus on:

• Defining and maintaining SkyNRG's target-state enterprise architecture across IT, OT, data, integration, and cybersecurity

• Establishing architecture standards, governance, and decision-making processes

• Reviewing and guiding major IT and OT initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and architectural principles

• Designing secure IT/OT integration patterns, including network segmentation and plant-to-cloud connectivity

• Embedding security, resilience, and regulatory requirements into architecture decisions

• Building architecture documentation and decision records that provide clarity as the company scales

Beyond this, you will help shape the future architecture practice at SkyNRG and play a key role in enabling the next generation of SAF production facilities.

Your profile

As a growing company in a rapidly evolving industry, we are looking for people who embrace change and are motivated to actively contribute to building and scaling our business. You are comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, take ownership, and thrive in evolving settings.

You recognize yourself in the following:

• You have significant experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or IT/OT Architecture

• You have experience defining target-state architectures, standards, and governance processes

• You understand enterprise applications, integration, cloud, data, and cybersecurity concepts

• You have experience working with industrial or Operational Technology environments

• You can influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains without direct authority

• You are able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business decisions

• You enjoy building structures, processes, and capabilities from the ground up

Nice to have:

• Experience in energy, chemicals, manufacturing, or industrial automation

• Familiarity with TOGAF, ArchiMate, or similar frameworks

• Experience with NIS2, IEC 62443, or ISO 27001

• Experience with SCADA, DCS, MES, historians, or industrial networks

• Experience building or growing an architecture function

• Dutch language skills
