Remote EOIR Case Assistant VA

<p>The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC, is expanding its legal team and is actively seeking a skilled and experienced&nbsp;<strong>Remote EOIR Case Assistant</strong> <strong>VA </strong>to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong client-service attitude, excellent case management skills, and at least 2 years of immigration law experience. This role requires an in-depth understanding of procedural requirements for EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) cases, as well as the ability to prepare, file, and manage various immigration-related petitions. In this position, the legal assistant will participate in all aspects of our immigration law practice, including managing client relationships, case preparation, review, and analysis.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Utilize in-depth legal knowledge of immigration law and EOIR procedures to make reasoned decisions and ensure accurate filings.</li> <li>Manage client relationships with a client-service focus, providing clear updates and assistance throughout the immigration process.</li> <li>Conduct comprehensive case review, analysis, and preparation for both immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, particularly those involving EOIR proceedings.</li> <li>Stay informed about and adhere to the procedural requirements for EOIR cases, including detained and removal defense petitions.</li> <li>Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to ensure effective case preparation and successful resolution.</li> <li>Utilize case management and billing systems to track case progress, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely filings.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all EOIR filing requirements and deadlines, helping clients navigate the immigration court process.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>At least 2 years of immigration law experience, specifically with EOIR cases, including removal defense and other immigration court proceedings.</li> <li>Strong understanding of immigration-related laws, including EOIR procedures, and the ability to stay updated on changes to immigration law.</li> <li>Excellent case management skills, including managing multiple cases, tracking deadlines, and maintaining organized records.</li> <li>Client-service mindset with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to assist clients effectively.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a growing legal team while managing individual casework and deadlines.</li> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us:</strong><br>At The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC,&nbsp;&nbsp;we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters career growth.
