Equipment Collection Valet

Want a role that gets you out and about across the Hakuba Valley and keeps you moving all day? Join Central Snowsports as an Equipment Collection Valet this winter in Hakuba.

As part of the ECV team, you’ll be responsible for collecting returned rental equipment from accommodation and ensuring everything is tracked, processed, and returned correctly. This is a hands-on, outdoor-focused role with a mix of driving, customer interaction, and operational support.

Location: Hakuba, Japan
Contract Term: 1st December 2026 - mid/late March 2027. Dates TBC.
Remuneration: ¥1700 per hour.
Role type: casual, up to 36 hours per week in peak season.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collecting rental equipment from hotels and accommodation providers.
• Logging returned gear accurately using EasyRent.
• Identifying and reporting missing or overdue equipment.
• Safely handling and transporting skis, snowboards, and gear.
• Supporting equipment flow back into store systems.
• Performing vehicle checks and maintaining clean, safe vehicles.
• Communicating professionally with accommodation staff and guests.
• Assisting in-store when required.

Who We're Looking For:

• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good decision-making in changing weather and road conditions.
• Physically fit and comfortable with an active, outdoor role.
• Basic tech skills (phones, tablets, Google Maps, simple systems).
• Able to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Valid work rights for Japan.
• Manual Drivers Licence.
• Japanese Drivers Licence or International Drivers Permit.
• Comfortable driving and working in winter mountain conditions.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Japanese language skills are an advantage but not necessary.
