Equipment Operator

Job Overview

This position operates a wide variety of medium and heavy vehicles and equipment throughout the facility.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Operates a variety of equipment, which may include water pumper truck, reactors, frontend loaders, bobcats, graders,
   and other pieces of equipment.

• Inspects equipment for safety prior to use and performs necessary basic maintenance tasks.

• Examines pathway and clear obstructions from the path of travel.

• Practices good physical work methods, utilizes good work habits, and meets established production standards.

• Uses standard methods, practices, supplies, tools, and equipment to complete tasks.

• Wears proper personal protective equipment and works in a safe work environment at all times.

• Maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and
   equipment.

• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested when needed.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license.

• Experience in operating a water pumper driver a plus.

• Excellent customer service and ability to work cooperatively with team members and others.

Working Conditions

• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risk that require following basic safety precautions.

• Exposed to dust, dirt, fumes, chemicals, and unpleasant odors. Moves for sustained periods.

• Moves objects at least 50 pounds.

• Work involves sitting for extended periods.

• Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
