SUMMARY
The Estimator participates in all aspects of the bid/estimating process from review of plans and specifications to soliciting and negotiating prices from contractors/suppliers through completion of bid/estimating effort including closeout.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform quantity take-off and pricing of electrical estimates
- Develop and document logical assumptions during conceptual estimating activities and applies these assumptions to take-off tasks.
- Communicate with architects and consultants to clarify and document discussions regarding intent and scope of work, material, and schedule requirements.
- Actively participates in the internal estimate review process.
- Analyzes and scopes trades partner electrical proposals.
- After the bid, collects and organizes all bid information for input into historical cost database platform.
- Maintain working knowledge of MEP codes and changes to codes.
- Prepare scope of work for subcontracts.
- Prepare budget comparisons between current and previous estimates.
- Utilizes current technology to enhance provided services on both hard bid and negotiated projects.
- Actively schedules and meets with trade partners during the face-to-face scope meeting process.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Minimum Experience: 2 - 7 years
Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar experience.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 annual salary

WORKING CONDITIONS
- General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- The noise level is usually low

Pay Transparency Statement
In compliance with California law, LEED Electric, Inc. provides the salary range for this position in the job posting. The posted range represents the company’s good faith estimate of the base salary range for this role at the time of posting. Compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, qualifications, skills, work location, union environment experience, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, incentives, and benefits, where applicable.
