Estimator, Program Lead

<p><strong>We are seeking an experienced Estimator, Program Lead for our Preconstruction Team.&nbsp;</strong>Estimators are responsible for accurately determining the total costs associated with a construction project by executing a detailed line-item budget for each trade. The ideal candidate must have an acute attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with fixed deadlines.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare detailed conceptual budgets and estimating from pre-construction, concept design, schematic design and design development documents</li> <li>Execute detailed take-offs of all trades. Initiate and manage entire bid process (construction management and general contractor) inclusive of preparation of detailed bid package</li> <li>Ensure accurate and proper submissions &amp; proposals by all subcontractors</li> <li>National, regional, and local subcontractor acquisition and prequalification for projects in new markets throughout the Northeast</li> <li>Facilitate review and presentation of bids to internal project management partners and clients</li> <li>Partnership with other Estimators and Estimating Coordinators supporting the Programs team to ensure accuracy and consistency of all bids</li> <li>Collaboration with Project Managers to develop scope sheets and leveling sheets</li> <li>Development of relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal partners</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and subcontractors</li> <li>Work collaboratively with field team to communicate deliverables and procurement schedules</li> <li>Level subcontractor bid proposals for accuracy and scope gaps</li> <li>Prepare scope of work documentation by division</li> <li>Attend and lead subcontractor calls and meetings as needed</li> <li>Conduct on-site walk-throughs as needed&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>6+ years of experience in budgeting and Estimating for commercial construction projects. &nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with open store remodels and store expansions for national big box retailers along with knowledge of multi-shift schedules</li> <li>Experience with GMAX and/or GMP bidding strategies</li> <li>Comprehensive subcontractor qualification and leveling</li> <li>Proven ability to compile complete estimates and hard bid packages with trade breakdowns&nbsp;</li> <li>Procurement and MS Project scheduling experience</li> <li>Strong presentation skills and ability to lead or participate in meetings with subcontractors, clients, owners, and architects as needed</li> <li>Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver on deadlines for multiple concurrent projects&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent time management and organizational skills</li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications</li> <li>Ability to value-engineer a project</li> <li>College degree preferred or comparable professional experience</li> <li>High proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li> <li>Strong knowledge of MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook&nbsp;</li> <li>Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, and Building Connected experience preferred</li> </ul>
