<h3>About One Acre Fund</h3> <p>Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. The Ethiopia program has now expanded into the South Region of Ethiopia in 2024. Our aim with the tree program is to provide not only short-term income opportunities but also long-term benefits, such as soil health improvements and erosion control, so that farmers build resilience over time.</p> <h3>About the Role</h3> <p>Seeking an agroforestry training professional to lead technical content creation, revision, and delivery for field teams, Stakeholders and Tree Nursery Operators, driving reforestation impact across the South Tree Program.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <p>Organize/lead training components of the tree team in South Tree Program</p> <ul> <li>With support from the training coordinator, revise training manuals on a yearly basis (with new species and changes of recommendations, if any) and prepare new content for seedling production, marketing, distribution, and tree planting.</li> <li>Conduct data quality checks for the printed training documents and binding works.</li> <li>Lead Technical TOT sessions for the field team&nbsp;</li> <li>Follow up on the deliverability of training cascaded down to the Tree Nursery Operator, ensuring training directly translates to improved nursery activities and achieving production goals</li> <li>Support non-Tree Agro Forestry soft skill&nbsp; training</li> </ul> <p>Professional Development Training&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Support the training coordinator in the preparation of a year-round professional development training plan when needed.&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute to the execution of the field team acceleration program.</li> </ul> <p>Execute small-medium complexity/scope training related projects for the south tree team</p> <ul> <li>Support in planning and implementation of small or medium complexity tree-related projects, such as conducting needs assessment from the field, measuring knowledge retention, and assessing training compliance.</li> <li>The projects may relate but are not limited to increasing performance in the field, increasing field survival, bringing more farmers to our nurseries to take seedlings, helping achieve the production goals of the tree team, and increasing adoption of new species and AGF practices. A few examples of such projects include:</li> <ul> <li>Agroforestry seed quality check (QC)&nbsp;</li> <li>Marketing and Distribution&nbsp;</li> <li>Support with&nbsp; local seed procurement&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead the Small SBC projects that aim to provide directional information to the program</li> </ul> </ul> <h3>Career Growth and Development</h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We have a strong culture of constant learning and we invest in developing our people.
