As an Events Coordinator you will have the opportunity to gain hands on marketing and events experience designing and producing events and conferences for top Global clients such as Rogers, Shopify, Facebook, Google and more.
You will provide general support for the events team in the planning, production and execution phases or project. You will also strategically manage teams of event staff to deliver on event objectives. You will receive in-depth and comprehensive training, providing you with the necessary skills to successfully contribute to projects and manage an onsite events team. You will gain experience working directly with clients as you support the Event Managers and Event Producers with project deliverables. This is a dynamic, fast-paced working environment with lots of opportunity for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistical elements of national and regional events
Manage relationships with vendors including vendor sourcing through to production
Support with internal processes such as purchase orders creation, payment tracking, and hiring candidates for events
Contribute to client face-to-face and virtual meeting by preparing materials, take notes, etc.
Update project plans, manage project requests and track progress including budget, timelines and deliverable status
Conduct research on venues, service vendors, promotional items and provide recommendations
Assist with on-site set up and tear down of events
Coaching and providing feedback to brand ambassadors & event staff hired to support with event execution
Building trust and respect amongst the team
Support with the management of budgets for projects

You have the ability to manage multiple priorities; follow tasks outlined to you on a program critical path, maintain a weekly task list, keep high volume of tasks on track while managing a team of brand ambassadors.

Unlimited access to a reliable vehicle and a valid Driver’s License is a MUST
1-3 years of Event Planning experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization skills
Strong team building and leadership skills
Previous experience as a Brand Ambassador/Onsite event staff is an asset
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office; specifically Excel.
Strong time management skills. Ability to manage time effectively is a must.
Regular physical activity may be required. I.E Setting up promotional material
