This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.  JetZero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft. It uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.  <h3>The JetZero Team </h3> We are experienced aerospace professionals and engineers, excited about the future. That future will only be possible if we share our vision and what it means to people’s lives: carbon-free flight that' is better for both passengers and airlines around the world. </div><h3>What You'll Do:</h3> <ul> <li data-aria-posinset="2" data-aria-level="2">Define and maintain EWIS architecture, including wiring routing, separation, protection, and termination strategies.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="3" data-aria-level="2">Develop and manage EWIS requirements and compliance documents per FAA/EASA regulations.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="4" data-aria-level="2">Conduct zonal analyses to ensure segregation, redundancy, and safety compliance.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="5" data-aria-level="2">Support trade studies to optimize EWIS routing for BWB and nontraditional layouts, balancing weight, maintainability, and safety.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="6" data-aria-level="2">Collaborate with systems teams (avionics, electrical power, propulsion, environmental control, structures) for EWIS integration.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="7" data-aria-level="2">Coordinate with design teams on harness design, installation requirements, and connector selection.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="8" data-aria-level="2">Assist in developing EWIS design tools, digital mock-ups, and routing databases.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="9" data-aria-level="2">Prepare and present technical documentation for certification authorities and internal design reviews.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="10" data-aria-level="2">Provide support during manufacturing, installation, and testing phases.</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring:</h3> <ul> <li data-aria-posinset="12" data-aria-level="2">Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="13" data-aria-level="2">Experience in EWIS architecture development for transport or commercial aircraft.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="14" data-aria-level="2">Strong understanding of FAA/EASA Part 25 EWIS requirements and related guidance material (AC 25.1701-1, AMC 20-22, etc.).</li> <li data-aria-posinset="15" data-aria-level="2">Proficiency with wire schematics and harness design in Siemens Capital</li> <li data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="2">Create and maintain electrical standard parts catalog, BOM, and wiring list</li> <li data-aria-posinset="17" data-aria-level="2">Support other systems to define equipment interfaces and harmonize across systems to support wiring interconnects</li> <li data-aria-posinset="18" data-aria-level="2">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="19" data-aria-level="2">Excellent communication skills, capable of working across disciplines.</li> </ul> <h4>Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):</h4> <ul> <li data-aria-posinset="21" data-aria-level="2">Experience with novel aircraft layouts (e.g., blended wing body, eVTOL, or distributed propulsion).</li> <li data-aria-posinset="22" data-aria-level="2">Familiarity with electrical bonding, shielding, and EMI/EMC compliance.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="23" data-aria-level="2">Knowledge of system safety assessments (SSA/FHA) and their impact on EWIS design.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="24" data-aria-level="2">Background in Nx electrical routing tools</li> <li data-aria-posinset="25" data-aria-level="2">Background in production/installation processes for wiring harnesses.</li> <li data-aria-posinset="26" data-aria-level="2">Experience with digital twin/model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for EWIS.</li> <li>Completion of degree or certification from a trade school and/or A&P license.</li> <li>Experience in aerospace manufacturing with wire routing, dressing, hook-up/mating connections.</li> <li>Experience in aerospace manufacturing with wire rework (wire repair, rerouting, connector disconnect, pin removal/install, splicing, soldering, and heat shrink).</li> </ul> Compensation:  Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees. The range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000.
