<p>As Marqeta's <strong>Executive Business Partner to our Chief Technology Officer (CTO)</strong>, you will provide steady, reliable support to our dynamic CTO in a fast-paced environment. You'll leverage your exceptional organizational skills, resilience, and composure to navigate shifting priorities with ease. Operating behind the scenes, you'll serve as a proactive, detail-oriented, and unflappable partner who takes pride in ensuring seamless operations and anticipating needs before they arise.</p> <p>While we work <a href="https://www.marqeta.com/blog/2022/05/10/flexible-first">Flexible First</a>, this role requires in-person presence at our Oakland office every Tuesday, with additional in-office days as needed for key moments such as Board meetings and leadership team onsites. We'd love for you to join us!</p> <h2><strong>The Impact You'll Have</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Provide <strong>primary executive support</strong> to the CTO - including calendar management, expense reports, and complex travel arrangements.</li> <li><strong>Light administrative support</strong> (calendars and expenses) to select members of the CTO leadership team.</li> <li>Manage a <strong>complex and dynamic calendar</strong>, navigating frequent changes and prioritizing meetings with sound judgment.</li> <li>Coordinate <strong>domestic and international travel</strong> with precision - including flights, hotels, ground transport, and dining - ensuring alignment with the CTO’s preferences and standards.</li> <li>Prepare and process <strong>expense reports</strong> accurately and efficiently.</li> <li>Handle <strong>special projects and logistics</strong> such as team off-sites, milestones, and holiday gifts</li> <li>Anticipate needs, stay several steps ahead, and respond quickly in a <strong>highly fluid environment</strong>.</li> <li>Manage light operational or finance-related activities such as <strong>purchase orders and vendor coordination</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Be willing to jump in wherever needed</strong> - whether that’s coordinating a last-minute meeting, troubleshooting a travel issue, or running out to grab coffee.</li> <li>Communicate <strong>clearly and professionally</strong> across the CTO’s leadership team and cross-functional partners.</li> <li>Maintain discretion, professionalism, and <strong>a sense of humor</strong> -&nbsp; even when things change unexpectedly.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who You Are</strong></h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional experience in administrative support, with 2+ years of Executive level support (either C-Suite at a similarly-sized firm, or VP+ at a larger company)</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage executives' calendar and administrative needs with precision, speed, discretion, and exceptional attention to detail</li> <li>Experience supporting an executive with access to highly sensitive information (ideally a CTO, CPO or comparable role)</li> <li>Ability to perform this role in-person in our Oakland office every Tuesday, with willingness to be present in-person for other key moments (Board meetings, leadership team onsites, etc)</li> <li>Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other key tools for managing work in a distributed global environment</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Nice-To-Haves</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience providing executive support in a remote/hybrid environment</li> <li>Experience working at a global company through a rapid growth phase</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Your Manager</strong></h2> <ul> <li><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/maija-muncy-881905b9/">Maija Muncy</a>, Chief of Staff</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Typical Process</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Application Submission</li> <li>Recruiter video call</li> <li>Hiring manager video call</li> <li>Virtual "Onsite" consisting of 4-5, 45 min calls</li> <li>Offer!</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></h2> <p>Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:</p> <ul> <li><strong>National</strong>: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.</li> <li><strong>Premium</strong>: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA</li> <li><strong>Premium Plus</strong>: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.</li> </ul> <p>Visit <a href="https://www.marqeta.com/company/salaryzones">this page</a> or consult with a Recruiter to determine which tier would be applicable to you.</p> <p>When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire <strong>base salary</strong> range for this position is:</p> <ul> <li>National: $102,000 - $127,500</li> <li>Premium: $110,400 - $138,000</li> <li>Premium Plus: $120,000 - $150,000</li> </ul> <p>We also believe in recognizing the contributions of our people.
