About the role
- 5–6 years of experience in maintenance engineering or process engineering within food, confectionery, FMCG, or related manufacturing sectors. May consider from AlcoBev or dairy/ice-cream as well.
- Hands-on expertise in breakdown analysis and corrective / preventive maintenance of chocolate enrobers, tempering machines, depositors, cooling tunnels, wafer baking ovens, and cream-mixing equipment.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning tools (CMMS/SAP PM) for scheduling preventive maintenance, raising work orders, and tracking mean-time-between-failures (MTBF).
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals: hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, and high-speed rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and OEM manuals.
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing lasting corrective actions to prevent recurrence of breakdowns.
- Familiarity with food-safety and GMP requirements as they apply to engineering and maintenance activities on food-contact equipment.
- Preferred educational background: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and AI/OEE improvement frameworks is an advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills to coordinate with production supervisors, OEM service engineers, and spare-parts stores.
