Mahindra HZPC Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Executive to join our Lab Quality team within the Quality Department. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained across our facilities and operations, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional agricultural solutions in the potato and tissue culture industry.

Role Overview

The Senior Executive - Lab Quality is responsible for executing comprehensive quality control and assurance activities across multiple locations including Palampur, Bhivani, Kheda Gaju, Kolli, Indergarh, Kurukshetra, Dolatpur, and Mohali. This position requires an individual with strong technical expertise in pathology and quality management systems, capable of leading quality audits, laboratory analysis, and the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance and maintain quality standards in line with national and international guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct greenhouse and polyhouse audits as per the audit schedule, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards.
• Perform minituber quality checks during intake and dispatch, maintaining accuracy and consistency in assessments.
• Collaborate with Department Heads to develop, implement, and update quality SOPs to uphold and improve lab quality procedures.
• Lead weekly quality scoring evaluations, analyse year-on-year trends, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Carry out root cause analysis for any quality-related issues and develop corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.
• Manage customer complaints related to minituber quality with promptness and professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Drive and manage the overall quality control mechanism within the facility for seamless operation and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct pathological identification and routine disease and pest checks in poly houses and net houses across various locations to ensure plant health and quality.
• Develop and implement advanced seed testing protocols, including ELISA tests for virus detection, DNA extraction methods for bacterial and fungal pathogens, and DNAFP techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
• Ensure strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures and quality guidelines, promoting a culture of quality excellence.
• Oversee Minituber Generation of Tubers (GOT) conducting activities to maintain genetic purity and health of seed stocks.
• Perform regular cold store audits to guarantee optimal storage conditions and seed viability.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in quality standards nationally and internationally, integrating new knowledge into existing practices to maintain competitive advantage.
• Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by management that align with business objectives and quality assurance goals.

Experience & Qualifications

• A PhD or M.Sc. degree in Pathology or related scientific discipline is mandatory.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in quality control and assurance within the potato or tissue culture industry is preferred.

• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated courage and result orientation, with the ability to act as a change agent to continuously advance quality initiatives.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis to support informed decision-making and reporting.
• Excellent presentation and leadership skills to guide teams and successfully drive quality programs.
• Openness to frequent travel to various field locations is expected to ensure hands-on quality management.
