What’s the role?
Step into a high-impact leadership role shaping how AI is governed across Westpac. As part of a newly established Responsible AI function, this role plays a key part in building trust in AI across the organisation.

We’re hiring for two permanent fulltime Executive Manager opportunities – one based in Sydney, and the other flexible across our Australian office locations.

What do I need?

• Demonstrated experience operating at a senior leadership level, driving enterprise‑wide strategy and execution 
• Strong experience in AI risk, policy, legal, compliance or related domains 
• Deep understanding of Responsible AI principles and the ability to translate them into practical, scalable controls 
• Strong knowledge of AI and associated risks, including lifecycle, monitoring, and governance 
• Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across complex, cross‑functional environments 
• Strong analytical and decision‑making capability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes
