Are you passionate about strategy games? Do you have a solid C++ background? Paradox Development Studio is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gameplay Programmer to join our dedicated team working on our latest grand strategy project, Victoria 3.
At Paradox, we are a vibrant mix of game developers and publishers, known worldwide for our strategy games. We bring our games to life, creating immersive experiences for our ever-growing community.
We invite you to contribute to Victoria 3, a game that simulates a transformative century, starting from 1836. Your input will directly impact the game mechanics and systems, bringing to life our representation of global population dynamics, industrial revolution, and diplomatic endeavors on a grand scale.
The skills we are looking for:
Strong proficiency in C++, with the ability to develop and maintain well-engineered code, focusing on stability and performance.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with the aptitude to take full ownership of features from understanding the design to implementing the code.
Plan and scope your own work with a high degree of independence, and flag risks early
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, to effectively collaborate in our international team.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of contributing positively to team dynamics and achieving project goals. Leadership ambitions are a strong merit.
Comfortable with Git and Visual Studio
Experience in using AI tools for development or an interest in learning
