About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and pets warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and handle client communications
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures, process invoices, and take payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in practice software
- Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to support smooth patient flow
- Provide client education on hospital services, wellness plans, and general pet care
- Resolve client concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Support rotating weekend shifts (we are closed on all major/federal holidays and offer holiday pay)
✅ What We’re Looking For – Experience & Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a veterinary front desk/customer service role
- Experience in a veterinary practice or medical office is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency with veterinary practice software (Cornerstone, Avimark, etc.) is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Must have schedule flexibility, including weekends on rotation
