This Project Manager on the Chicago Department of Water Management (DWM) Program Services team will oversee the delivery of multi-year $3.9 billion Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects to enhance Chicago’s water infrastructure. Highly qualified candidates would be licensed Professional Engineers with experience leading and supporting large municipal capital improvement programs. font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Serve within a team as the Project Manager responsible for the development and delivery of the capital improvement plan for major water system facilities that include water purification plants; intake structures; pumping stations; reservoirs; hydraulic structures; buildings/structure and large conveyance for raw and finished water supply tunnels.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Water purification treatment planning and water/wastewater treatment design and construction management.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide technical oversight for implementation of projects.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Coordinates and participates in project presentations to DWM and other external groups.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Leads conceptual project development and, RFQ preparation and participate in, design consultant selection, and the negotiation of final scope and fee for various assignments.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with design and construction management consultants to finalize project assignments.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Manage project teams and monitors consultant’s compliance with contractual commitments.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Supervises technical professionals and other project managers including workload and staffing management.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Monitors and reports financial and completion status of projects to client.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Performs such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary from time to time.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Minimum Qualifications:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline&nbsp;and&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</span></li> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Professional Engineering license in Illinois or the ability to obtain one within the first 6 months of employment.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;
