If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now!</div><h4>What you’ll do</h4> The Failure Resolution Process (FRP) Specialist is responsible for identifying and solving problems related to the manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency. This role involves analyzing process data, troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, designing process improvements, and collaborating with the Quality and Production teams to maintain consistent quality and meet product specifications.  Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:  <ul> <li>Lead rapid response to quality concerns on the production floor. </li> <li>Analyze quality deviations from quality standards within General Assembly to determine the solution elimination of faults to ensure the quality standards of the product and through it the factory indicators and customer satisfaction. </li> <li>Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Kaizen, and Red X to identify root causes and implement corrective actions </li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Launch, Production, Maintenance, Suppliers, etc.) to drive timely and sustainable issue resolution.  </li> </ul> Process Improvement & Problem Solving:  <ul> <li>Identify and troubleshoot issues for process and manufacturing constraints. </li> <li>Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve process deviations and optimize paint application techniques. </li> <li>Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. </li> </ul> Process Monitoring & Data Analysis:  <ul> <li>Monitor key process variables and collect data related to Production efficiency, consistency, and quality. </li> <li>Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process optimization. </li> <li>Work with the Quality Control team to track the effectiveness of process improvements. </li> </ul> Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:  <ul> <li>Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Quality Teams to define specifications and ensure adherence to process standards. </li> <li>Provide technical support to production teams to ensure smooth operations and troubleshooting of process-related challenges. </li> <li>Coordinate with suppliers to address technical issues related to ensure that materials/process meet specifications. </li> <li>Coordinate with Warranty team to drive resolution for Warranty remarks. </li> </ul> Documentation & Reporting:  <ul> <li>Maintain accurate records of process changes, experiments, and troubleshooting activities. </li> <li>Prepare reports on process performance, improvements, and any corrective actions taken. </li> <li>Ensure that all process documentation complies with company and regulatory standards. </li> </ul> Training & Knowledge Sharing:  <ul> <li>Train Production and Quality teams on new process improvements, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices. </li> <li>Provide process improvements to continuously improve overall production efficiency. </li> <li>Support production team in the design and deploy layered quality gate systems to detect and contain defects at the source. </li> </ul> Safety & Compliance:  <ul> <li>Develop and implement procedures to minimize plant waste </li> </ul> Location & Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina</li> <li>This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> <li style="font-weight: bold;">Any Additional Travel Requirements: International, Domestic, 10-40% of the time, Passport Required </li> </ul> <h4>What you’ll bring </h4> We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. Here's what else you'll bring:  <ul> <li>Experience: 5-7+ years of professional experience in automotive production and quality control concepts or a related field, including hands-on experience with general assembly product and processes. Proven experience with VDA standards is essential.  </li> <li>Education:Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.   </li> <li>Skills: </li> <li>Desired experience on launching Greenfield or Brownfield plant.  </li> <li>In-depth knowledge of automotive processes, products, and materials, including familiarity with assembly tools, equipment, and best practices in the general assembly processes. </li> <li>Strong understanding of VDA standards and their application in the automotive industry. </li> <li>Strong understanding of process auditing techniques and methodologies. </li> <li>Excellent writing skills for developing clear and comprehensive quality standards and procedures. </li> <li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. </li> <li>Attention to detail and organizational skills. </li> <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills. </li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li> <li>Strong self-responsibility, planning, and organizational skills, able to perform multi-tasks within set time frames, and Strong time management and organizational skills. </li> <li>Hands-on experience with electrical systems and mechanical assembly techniques. </li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software. </li> <li>Production standard understanding and derivation of the effects on processes, equipment and product. </li> <li>Skills in web-based applications </li> <li>Costumer orientated skills, as well as attention to detail and commitment to quality. </li> </ul> <h4>What you'll gain</h4> The benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.  This is a chance to create something new and lasting – with an iconic brand at its foundation.  In addition, Scout provides competitive compensation and benefits to support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
