<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Family Practice Nurse Practitioner </span></strong> </p>
<p><span data-contrast="none">The </span><span data-contrast="none">Family Practice Nurse Practitioner</span><span data-contrast="none"> is responsible for providing medical assessment and treatment for all patients in accordance with the provider’s training, licensing, and state regulation, at clinical sites where the clinician is assigned. The provider is expected to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, treating patients with eating disorders and related or comorbid medical conditions. The provider will serve patients in a gender-inclusive environment of all ages and across all levels of care. The </span><span data-contrast="none">Family Practice Nurse Practitioner is</span><span data-contrast="none"> encouraged to participate in quality and performance improvement activities.</span> </p>

<p><strong>Compensation Disclosure</strong></p>

<li>Starting Salary for Family Nurse Practitioners $130,000-155,000</li>

<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">How Family Nurse Practitioners </span></strong><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Empower Recovery </span></strong> </p>
<ul>
<li data-aria-posinset="4" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none"> </span><span data-contrast="none">Provide direct medical services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including appropriate exams, work-up and prescription medications, and other interventions as indicated.</span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="5" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none"> </span><span data-contrast="none">Evaluate, diagnose, and treat medical complications of eating disorders and intercurrent conditions for patients at all levels of care. The frequency of visits should be dictated by clinical need, and facilitate appropriate medical care for the clinical severity and in accordance with direction from site medical leadership. </span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="6" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none"> </span><span data-contrast="none">Develop the medical treatment plans of all assigned patients and update them with each visit</span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="7" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none">Liaise by telephone with each patient’s ambulatory provider, at a minimum, at admission, discharge, and as needed during treatment in the context of significant concerns.</span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="8" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none">Liaise with families of patients as indicated</span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="9" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none">Evaluate all patients on caseload within two weeks of discharge, to assess stability for the next level of care, and to complete a summary of all follow-up recommendations and a comprehensive discharge summary.</span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="10" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none">Work with the Utilization Review team to provide medical information to support the facilitation of peer-to-peer insurance reviews, determination of appropriate levels of care, arbitration of clinical appeals, etc.</span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="11" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none"> </span><span data-contrast="none">Provide education about medical complications and comorbidities of eating disorders to family and patients as needed.</span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="12" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none"> </span><span data-contrast="none">Perform other duties as assigned or identified</span> </li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Qualifications</span></strong> </p>
<ul>
<li data-aria-posinset="13" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none"> </span><span data-contrast="none">Duly certified, Nurse Practitioner, licensed by appropriate national certifying body and state licensing agency </span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="14" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none"> </span><span data-contrast="none">Appropriate State Licensure to practice independently in the field, with prescriptive authority</span> </li>
<li data-aria-posinset="15" data-aria-level="1"><span data-contrast="none"> </span><span data-contrast="none">Two (2) or more years of practice, with a preference for experience in hospitals, complex medical conditions, and working with psychiatric patients.</span> </li>
