We produce award­-winning wines, handcrafted extra virgin olive oils, grass­-fed beef, eggs, and heirloom fruits and vegetables.</span></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with the preparation and loading of produce, meat, eggs and other products for transportation to farmers’ markets</li> <li>Assist with set-up and take-down of farmers’ markets</li> <li>Provide superior customer service and perform sales using cash, card, and an iPad&nbsp;</li> <li>Educate consumers and develop strong customer relationships</li> <li>Maintain an effective, clean and attractive storefront display that is visited by the public</li> <li>Harvest, wash, sort and pack produce, and perform other basic farm duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education, Experience and Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Passion for organic farm production, farmers’ markets and local food</li> <li>Interest in fruits, vegetables, flowers, food and cooking&nbsp;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays and Tuesdays from 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM</li> <li><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong verbal communication skills.&nbsp; English is required, spanish is a benefit</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Must be a team player and get along well with other team members and market vendors</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong work ethic, organizational skills and integrity</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">A pre-employment background check is required</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to work in various settings including outside and in inclement weather&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to work on different ground surfaces and in rough and uneven terrain</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to use both hands to handle, grasp, move and control objects</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to repeat the same movements throughout the shift</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and twist body</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to lift 50+ pounds&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is a part-time, hourly position (24 hours per week)</span></li> <li><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Company reasonably expects to pay in the range of $17 to $20 for this position. Of course, this is depending on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, and business or organizational needs.
