<p><strong>How You Will Make an Impact:<br><br></strong>This position is critical to the safe, efficient, and disciplined execution of Atlas’ capital projects. The Field Construction Manager serves as the on-site leader responsible for coordinating contractors, enforcing schedule discipline, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring quality execution across Sand & Logistics and Power projects.</p>
<p>By providing consistent field oversight and proactive issue resolution, this role reduces schedule delays, prevents rework, improves contractor productivity, and strengthens accountability at the project level. A strong field leadership presence ensures projects are executed safely, on time, and in alignment with approved budgets and construction plans.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead daily on-site construction activities across assigned capital projects.</li>
<li>Coordinate and manage multiple contractors and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project scope and schedule.</li>
<li>Monitor field productivity and proactively address sequencing or coordination conflicts.</li>
<li>Ensure construction activities adhere to approved schedules, identifying and escalating risks to the critical path.</li>
<li>Conduct daily site walks to verify quality, safety compliance, and work progress.</li>
<li>Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with Atlas safety policies and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Review and validate contractor work plans, lift plans, and method statements.</li>
<li>Support schedule recovery efforts and develop field-level mitigation strategies when delays occur.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Controls to ensure accurate reporting of progress and percent complete.</li>
<li>Identify potential change order drivers early and communicate impacts to project leadership.</li>
<li>Support constructability reviews and recommend improvements to sequencing and workface planning.</li>
<li>Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure work meets engineering specifications and quality standards.</li>
<li>Participate in commissioning, startup, and turnover activities to ensure smooth project handoff.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate field documentation including daily reports, progress tracking, and issue logs.</li>
<li>Facilitate coordination meetings between contractors, engineering, and operations personnel.</li>
<li>Provide leadership and mentorship to site supervisors and junior field staff.</li>
<li>Promote continuous improvement initiatives in safety, execution efficiency, and cost control.</li>
<li>All other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred; equivalent field experience considered.</li>
<li>12+ years of progressive field construction experience within industrial, energy, infrastructure, or heavy civil environments.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5+ years in a construction leadership role (Field Manager, Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar).</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience overseeing projects ranging from $10MM–$100MM+.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of construction sequencing, workface planning, and field productivity management.</li>
<li>Proven experience managing multiple contractors and complex scopes simultaneously.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret and execute against CPM project schedules.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and automation construction disciplines.</li>
<li>Experience supporting schedule recovery and mitigation planning.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial construction safety best practices.</li>
<li>Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.</li>
<li>Ability to identify constructability concerns and recommend practical solutions.</li>
<li>Strong leadership presence with the ability to hold contractors accountable.</li>
<li>Effective communication skills for coordinating across project teams and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong decision-making capabilities.</li>
<li>Ability to operate independently in high-accountability, fast-paced project environments.</li>
<li>All other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Primarily field-based in active industrial construction environments.</li>
<li>Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions including heat, cold, wind, dust, and varying weather conditions.</li>
<li>Exposure to heavy equipment, construction noise, and active work zones.</li>
<li>Regular walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and accessing elevated platforms.</li>
<li>Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times on construction sites.</li>
<li>Extended work hours during critical construction phases, commissioning periods, or schedule recovery efforts.</li>
<li>Travel between project sites within Sand & Logistics and Power divisions as required.</li>
