Field Engineer (CSA)

<p><u>Position Summary:</u></p> <p><br>The Field Engineer position fills a critical support role within our unique company’s Construction Department; supporting the PM and General Supt. and assisting in the administrative functions on multi-million-dollar construction projects. The Field Engineer is also exposed to the entire life-cycle of major construction projects from estimating and bidding through punch list and project close-out. As you are developed in this role, we will add more responsibilities as you demonstrate a solid understanding of assigned tasks and continually execute assigned deliverables.<br><br></p> <p><u>Essential Functions:</u></p> <ol> <li><strong> BID PACKAGES</strong><br><strong>Bid Package Preparation</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Assist PM to create scopes of work.</li> <li>Create Bid Packages as necessary.</li> <li>Notify contractors of pending bid packages to generate interest &amp; send invitations</li> <li>Call on contractors to confirm receipt &amp; ensure proper bid coverage</li> <li>Respond to contractor RFIs &amp; provide prompt responses</li> <li>Work with PM to level bids</li> </ul> <ol> <li><strong> CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION</strong><br><strong>RFIs</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Review RFIs received from Contractors &amp; Subcontractors</li> <li>Submit RFIs to Design Team to resolve in timely fashion</li> </ul> <p><strong>Submittals</strong></p> <ul> <li>Create Submittal log utilizing Procore (and other project management software)</li> <li>Coordinate with PM to assign appropriate due dates for submittals</li> <li>Follow-up with Subcontractors to ensure submittals are complete by deadline</li> </ul> <p><strong>Meetings</strong></p> <ul> <li>Take Meeting minutes and distribute</li> </ul> <p><strong>Project Schedule</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with PM to track project schedule on weekly basis (or as needed)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Drawings</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure drawings sets are kept current &amp; subcontractors are notified of changes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Field Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in monitoring general contractors’ work and safety.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Punch List &amp; Close-out</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with PM &amp; Superintendent to create, track, and complete Project Punchlist</li> <li>Compile as-built drawings</li> </ul> <p><strong>Contracts</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare purchase orders and create subcontracts</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Experience Requirements </strong></p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience in Construction and site work</li> <li>Working knowledge of construction or design engineering required.</li> <li>Experience in manufacturing plant construction is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>Ability to work with computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Outlook, and to learn others as needed.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
