About the role:

The primary purpose of this role is to support with in-field customer warranty diagnosis & repairs for the BOXER MIV.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnostics, maintenance and repair of military vehicles and equipment in the field in compliance with technical service and statutory regulations

  • Independent deployment at a customer’s site, with responsibility for order processing and contractual documentation

  • Compliance with and monitoring of statutory regulations, particularly those involving safety at work and environmental protection

  • Responsible for the preparation of safe and compliant work sites, materials and tools

  • Customer care & satisfaction

  • Execution of fault-finding, defect diagnosis, planned & un-planned maintenance and repair work at all relevant stages

  • Accurate completion of all documentation inclusive of job sheets and work orders

What we’re looking for:

Candidates must have the following essential qualifications and experience:

  • C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair level 3 (or equivalent)

  • Minimum of grade C in English and Maths at GCSE (or equivalent)

  • Experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance & repair, ideally in the field of military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or specialist vehicle manufacture

  • Skill and experience in the operation of diagnostic equipment, diagnostics and troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of English language, written and spoken

  • Good PC skills, particularly with the common MS Office applications

  • Experience in completion of relevant technical documentation and paperwork as dictated by industry

The following are desirable:

  • Military vehicle technical / maintenance experience

  • Driving licence Class C (HGV2) minimum

  • HGV MOT Inspector (DVSA qualified)

  • Knowledge of German language to be desired

  • Recent exposure to electronic fleet management systems

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and aptitudes:

  • Willingness to travel (abroad if necessary)
