About the role
Responsibilities:
- Performing file operations and maintenance, including storage, interfiling, consolidation, searches, and fulfilling file requests.
- Updating Government systems with accuracy and timeliness.
- Conducting regular audits of file rooms and traveling to other Government facilities to support audit initiatives.
- Connecting incoming correspondence to existing files and ensuring proper linkage.
- Scanning large, multi page documents for digital recordkeeping.
- Filing copies of naturalization certificates and notices and supporting close out procedures for citizenship ceremonies.
- Supporting the processing of forms and applications used throughout Government adjudication processes.
- Performing additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance from the Government.
- Ability to lift and carry 45 lbs. or more in a physical environment.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach during daily tasks.
- Strong reading comprehension in English.
- Prior experience working in a Government recordkeeping, administrative support, or file-management environment.
- Familiarity with digital scanning systems or high volume document imaging processes.
- Experience supporting Government adjudication workflows or high security processing environments.
