Finance BI Specialist to Schibsted

About the position

At Schibsted, we are currently building the future of financial reporting, analytics and decision support. We are now looking for a Finance BI Specialist who is passionate about turning financial and operational data into actionable insights.

As Finance BI Specialist, you will play a key role in forming how Schibsted News Media Finance reports and analyses financial and operational data. You will be a part of the News Media Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, and work at the intersection of Business Control, Group-wide BI CoE and technology. You will own Schibsted News Media financial reporting tools and dashboards, drive self-service analytics, and help shape the future of Finance BI across Schibsted Group.

What you will do

As Finance BI Specialist, you will:

• Develop and continuously improve financial dashboards and BI solutions supporting efficient financial reporting, KPI reporting and performance insights

• Partner with finance and business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable BI solutions,

• Enrich financial reporting with operational data to enable deeper business insights

• Enable self-service analytics and strengthen analytical capabilities across Schibsted News Media finance

• Ensure data quality and reporting integrity in collaboration with Finance BI CoE, Finance Technology and Data teams

• Support implementation and adoption of group-wide Finance BI initiatives

• Act as a BI superuser and trusted advisor for finance teams

• Drive innovation in Finance BI through new tools, automation and AI-enabled solutions

• Support ad hoc financial analysis when needed

Who you are

We believe you combine strong analytical capabilities with a passion for solving business problems through data.

• Strong data analysis and data visualization skills

• Experience with Tableau or similar BI platforms

• Experience working with financial reporting, FP&A or business controlling

• Ability to translate business requirements into data and reporting solutions

• Strong understanding of data models, KPIs and reporting structures

• Experience working across business and technical stakeholders

• Experience from working with ERP data is a plus, but we are primarily looking for someone with the right mindset and the potential to grow with us.

• Fluently in a Scandinavian language

• You have an analytical and structured approach to problem solving

• You build strong relationships across finance, data and technology teams

• You are communicative, and comfortable in engaging with stakeholders across finance, technology and business leadership

• You are curious, proactive and able to drive Finance BI initiatives from idea to implementation
