About the role
Position Summary:
A finance manager is responsible for managing the financial health of an organization. This involves overseeing daily financial planning, maintaining financial records, creditors and debtor management and providing strategic insights to support business decisions
Key Accountabilities:
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income
statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements - Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local regulations
Stay informed on changes in tax laws and regulations to optimize tax - strategies and compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns, working with external tax advisors as necessary
Audit Support
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
and explanations
- Financial Systems and Technology
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial management
systems and software - Ensure data integrity and security within financial systems
Payments Planning
• Creditors and debtors’ collection
Leadership
• Managing the finance and accounts team
Desirable qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s
- degree (e.g., MBA) is often preferred
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred. Other relevant certifications such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles including local tax
and audit exposure, with a track record of progressive responsibility. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and
Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Exce - Exceptional analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and external
partners
