Finance Manager (Maternity Cover)

<p>Octagon within Australia comprises three agencies with specialties in the space of sports and entertainment marketing. These include Octagon (global creative agency), Futures Sport &amp; Entertainment (business consultancy and analytics) and No2ndPlace (sport for social change).</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p> <p>Working in close partnership with the Finance Director, APAC (based in Singapore), the Finance Manager/Senior Finance Manager is the business partner to the agency leads and wider management team. They will be responsible for the accurate financial reporting of the agencies, budgeting and forecasting, commercial guidance and support, and providing strategic financial stewardship to ensure the agencies' success.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>All financial reporting matters, including closing of monthly financials and internal reporting requirements</li> <li>Planning and review of annual budgeting process, working with and providing advice to business leaders</li> <li>Deliver monthly P&amp;L forecasting and analysis</li> <li>Take ownership of revenue forecasting and project tracking, ensuring alignment with financial targets</li> <li>Conducting financial planning &amp; analysis including project profitability analysis, staff utilisation, rate card reviews</li> <li>Oversee day-to-day finance operations and project accounting e.g. management of WIP, job reconciliations</li> <li>Providing commercial support for project teams, including pricing, risk management and contract review and negotiation</li> <li>Overseeing local company statutory compliance and reporting matters including audit management, tax filing and payroll</li> <li>Support implementation of group finance initiatives</li> <li>Working closely with and supporting shared services team on controllership tasks</li> <li>Working in partnership with Australian and APAC leadership, acting as a trusted advisor</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About You:</strong></p> <ul> <li>8 years + of relevant work experience, experience in the marketing and/or events industry will be a plus</li> <li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills</li> <li>A leader who inspires, builds, and nurtures positive working relationships with those around you</li> <li>Strong analytical skills, with a focus on compliance, cost effective and the delivery of quality results and solutions</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>We make our careers website accessible to any and all users.
