Financial Controller, APAC

<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong>:</p> <p>BTIG seeks a talented and ambitious candidate to join the APAC Finance team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be involved in a leading position to oversee end to end Finance processes across APAC with a focus on Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as identifying and implementing best practices and processes from their experience with previous broker dealers.</p> <p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Act as the first point of escalation for Hong Kong and Singapore in the finance team, providing oversight and guidance to junior team members.</li> <li>Manage revenue processes across APAC, including the booking of clearing broker revenue and booking/reconciliation of broker rebates.</li> <li>Manage the invoicing/collection/reporting of AR including engagement with clients and brokers.</li> <li>Manage the booking and reconciliation of cash in clearing accounts.</li> <li>Month end consolidation entries including equity pick up and eliminations.</li> <li>Support the calculation of transfer pricing and management fees.</li> <li>Other general month end closing and reporting and account reconciliations.</li> <li>Prepare/review regulatory reporting across HK and SG.</li> <li>Coordination of APAC audits and Financial Statements.</li> <li>Review of AP payments/wires.</li> <li>Support business activities through engagement with sales, operations, compliance and other functions.</li> <li>Identify and drive process improvement and best practices.</li> <li>Drive and reinforce appropriate controls and documentation.</li> <li>Participate in projects, change initiatives, and other ad hoc activities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements &amp; Qualifications</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Degree in finance or accountancy, tax qualification, or a related professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA.</li> <li>Proven experience in broker dealers across a range of Finance areas, with a practical understanding of the business (especially on equities trading).</li> <li>Ability to be hands on when necessary, with attention to detail.</li> <li>High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.</li> <li>Proficiency in an automation tool is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.</li> <li>Multi-tasker, with a focus on effective prioritization.</li> <li>Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Must work collaboratively, with a growth mindset and passion for constant improvement and transformation.</li> <li>Able to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About BTIG</strong>:</p> <p>BTIG is a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research and related brokerage services.
