About the role

Business Function

Group Operations enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. As an Operations Department, we embrace and reinforce the strong PRIDE! culture that is built up in DBS. This is done through strategic focus on training and improving staff capability, empowerment, productivity, teamwork, innovation & technology, managing operational risks & strongly collaborating with our business partners in delivering excellent RED service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Central operations professionals to ensure efficient and effective delivery of Central operations services
  • Oversee the end-to-end Asset ops operations process, including application processing, loan disbursement, and account maintenance
  • Implement and monitor process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive MIS reports to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage team workflow and workload to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations or a similar role, with a proven track record of leading a team
  • Strong understanding of Loan operations processes, including application processing, loan disbursement, and account maintenance
  • Proficient in process management, stakeholder management, MIS management, team management, workflow management, people management, and risk management
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software and technology tools to support credit operations activities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail
