About the role
Mamaweswen, The North Shore Tribal Council invites applications for the position of Fleet Support
Coordinator.
Purpose
The Fleet Support Coordinator serves as the essential, hands-on logistical engine of Mamaweswen,
The North Shore Tribal Council. Operating directly under the strategic guidance of the Fleet Manager,
the Coordinator is responsible for executing the daily physical logistics, technical field audits, data
maintenance, and on-site incident support necessary to keep a multi-divisional mobile footprint safe,
compliant, and efficient across the regional territory.
Responsibilities:
Asset Circulation and Field Logistics
• Maintenance Execution, Asset lockouts, New asset delivery, Asset Allocation, Parts Relocation, Asset
Decommission, Asset De-integration, In-Field Repairs.
IN-Vehicle Compliance and Configuration
• In-Vehicle Onboarding, In-Vehicle Upfitting, Telematics Installation, System Configuration, Teach
Mitigation, Customization Verification, Inventory Replenishment.
Routine Maintenance
• Scheduling Support, Request Validation, Quality Assurance, Hardware Inspection.
Seasonal Preparedness and Inventory Management
• Seasonal Logistics, Tire Inventory, Changeover Execution, Asset Lockouts.
Office Operation and Inter-Office Administration
• Data Entry, Roster Synchronization, Organizational Communication, Audit Readiness, Internal
Communication.
Onboarding, Policy Support and Training
• Orientation Execution for new hire drivers, Procedure Demonstration, Key Management.
Financial Reconciliation
• Billing Verification, Fuel Auditing, Billing Preparation.
Incident Response and Emergency Support
Qualification
The Fleet Support Coordinator shall possess:
• Minimum one to three years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, automotive service coordination, or
a hands-on operational support role.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on capability (i.e. - executing minor vehicle adjustments, handling
seasonal tire logistics, and deploying field equipment).
• Experience with fleet telematics and maintenance platforms considered an asset.
• Comfort with extensive regional travel across the Algoma / North Shore territory. A valid Ontario Driver’s
License (Class G minimum) with a clean driving record is mandatory. A dedicated company truck is
provided for all regional transit and field operations.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex schedules.
