<p data-rx-type="text" data-rx-first-level="true">At Heart Aerospace, we are developing the ES-30, a regional hybrid-electric airplane capable of carrying 30 passengers, boasting an electric zero-emission range of 200 km and an extended hybrid range of 800 km. Heart is targeting type certification of the ES-30 by the end of the decade.</p>
<p data-rx-type="text" data-rx-first-level="true"><strong>Your mission</strong></p>
<p data-rx-type="text" data-rx-first-level="true">We are seeking a highly motivated Flight Systems Engineer to join our Mechanisms team. You will play a crucial role in the system-level design, bring up, debugging, and certification of distributed systems across the ES-30 aircraft. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and certify the first commercial electric-hybrid aircraft.</p>
<p data-rx-type="text" data-rx-first-level="true"><strong>Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p>
<ul data-rx-type="list" data-rx-focusable="true" data-rx-first-level="true">
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Lead the design of essential systems by collaborating cross-functionally with flight science, software, electrical, mechanical, and safety engineers.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Lead in-vehicle debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of system-level issues, across electrical, mechanical and software systems. Work across multiple teams to find and efficient solution.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Support bring-up and maintenance of prototype aircraft, integration test benches, Hardware-in-the-Loop environments, and virtual simulation platforms.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Create and execute system-level integration plans for a complete system or subsystem.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Contribute to the software verification and validation strategy in accordance with DO-178C objectives.</li>
</ul>
<p data-rx-type="text" data-rx-first-level="true"><strong>You'll Bring These Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul data-rx-type="list" data-rx-focusable="true" data-rx-first-level="true">
<li data-rx-type="listitem">2+ years of experience in system integration, ideally in the aerospace or automotive domain.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, …), and system-level integration practices.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, or Python for automation and testing.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and integration frameworks.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.</li>
</ul>
<p data-rx-type="text" data-rx-first-level="true"><strong>These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:</strong></p>
<ul data-rx-type="list" data-rx-focusable="true" data-rx-first-level="true">
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Experience with DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160G, DO-331, or other safety-critical standards.</li>
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry</li>
</ul>
<p data-rx-type="text" data-rx-first-level="true"><strong>Education</strong></p>
<ul data-rx-type="list" data-rx-focusable="true" data-rx-first-level="true">
<li data-rx-type="listitem">Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.</li>
